This is going to be a short post but I couldn’t contain my excitement so I wanted to write about here on my blog. So previously, I mentioned that I worked on a project for the Birla Open Minds School. We created uniform design proposals aligning with the school colours and motto.
I ended up having to do all the final edits on the uniforms and narrow it down from 20 slides to 5 based on the final selected designs! Last I heard, the team coordinating with us from the school really liked the designs and said they would contact us again for the final selected designs. The graphic designer who I usually work with had gone home for a few days, so I was the only one who was already working on the project who could make the final changes to what they had selected and hand over the final keynote to MM’s Manager, as I was working alongside him for the entire project.
Since I already had all the open files and the previous presentation, it was pretty simple to make the changes. The only concrete edits were replacing the colours on some of the uniforms since we had included a sports uniform with house colours options. Unfortunately, like always I can’t disclose any of the work in progress, or the actual designs, but I did get permission to talk about this here on my blog and even mention it in my report!
The most exciting thing is that that 75% of the selected designs are all mine and I got told that the uniforms are going into production soon!!!! These uniforms are going to be for students in 65 of their schools all across India!!!!
I had to send over all the final Ai files so they could colour references, etc. But it’s so incredibly excited to think that in the near future I’m going to see kids essentially wearing what I designed!
Our first presentation had over 20 design proposals for the boys, girls and sports uniform.
We got a lot of great feedback for the project since we referenced, created CADs and sent over the first presentation within 3-4 days!!
